When hauling large loads to access climbs or cleaning camps - the modular V-Flex suspension provides the carrying comfort and performance of a backpacking pack. In steep terrain or for summit pushes it can be stripped down to a mere 900 grams (two pounds) - making it a uncompromised climbing pack. Dual-density shoulder straps are a supportive 15 mm thick and cut to provide full range of motion - maximizing comfort when using the pack without a waistbelt. The dual-density 20 mm thick removeable waistbelt is cut to allow high steps through boulder fields and glacial debris - yet effectively distributes the pack load so it is carried on the hips. It is easily removed to clear your waist for access to your harness and gear loops. Other features include side-panel zip for quick access to thermos or mittens - and crampon straps are replaceable. A rope strap can carry several lengths of fixed ropes or two dynamic ropes and side compression straps fit sleeping pads or an alpine tent. Comes with removeable bivy pad. Hydration compatible.
